Accessing the clients screen
Select the 'Clients' item from the client menu.
Fill in the client information. This is in detail:
Main register General
Register Name
- Company: This is the company name.
- First name: The first name of the primary contact in this company.
- Last name: The last name of the primary contact in this company.
Register Contact
- Work phone: The work phone number of the primary contact. The input will be checked according to the selected locale.
- Home phone: The home phone number of the primary contact. The input will be checked according to the selected locale.
- Mobile phone: The mobile phone number of the primary contact. The input will be checked according to the selected locale.
- Fax: The fax number of the primary contact. The input will be checked according to the selected locale.
- Other phone: Another phone number of the primary contact. The input will be checked according to the selected locale.
- email: The email address of the primary contact. The input will be checked according to the normal format of email addresses.
- web address: The web address of this client.
- tax id: The tax id of this client.
Register Primary address
Enter the street here. There are two lines of text available.
- City: The city of the primary address.
- State/province: The state/province of the primary address.
- ZIP/postal code: The ZIP/postal code of the primary address.
- Country: The country of the primary address.
Register Memo
Use this field to enter free text for this client.
Register Attributes
- Type: Choose between 'client' and 'prospect'.
- inactive: Check this to set a client to inactive. If a client is not active, no sales order may be entered.
- Category: Use the drop-down-list to select a category. Select 'modify list' to create, change or delete categories.
Register Sales
- Sales person: Select a phpBMS user that is the sales person for this customer.
- lead source: Select the lead source from the drop-down-list. Select 'modify list' to create, change or delete lead sources.
Register Order Defaults
- Payment method: Select a pre-defined payment method from the drop-down-list.
- Shipping method: Select a pre-defined shipping method from the drop-down-list.
- Discount: Select a pre-defined discount from the drop-down-list.
- Tax area: Select a pre-defined tax area from the drop-down-list.
Register e-commerce login
All other main registers are only available, when the client has been saved.
