Changing Your Password / User Information

To get to your account, login to phpBMS and choose System->My Account from the menu.

Change Your Password

The phpBMS installation process automatically assigns your account a random password. You may want to change the password to something easier to remember yet still secure(containing capitals, numbers, and symbols). On your My Account page:

1. Type in your previous password (or the one generated during installation if you are the administrator and you have not changed it) into the box "old password".

2. Type in your new password in the "New Password" box. For greater security be sure it is unique (i.e. not the same password as for your email or luggage), and includes at least one capital letter and number.

3. Reenter the password in the "retype new password" field to verify there were no typos.

4. Click the "change password" button to save your changes. You will receive then notification "Password Updated" at the top of your screen if your password was updated successfully.

Update Contact Information

To update your email and phone contact information scroll down to the third section on your My Account page.

1. Update your email and phone number in the respective fields. Emails should follow the format name@… and phone numbers should be of the form XXX-XXX-XXXX.

2. Click "update contact information" to save your changes. You will receive the notification "Contact Information Updated" at the top of your screen if your contact information was updated successfully.
